Here are some of my favorite resources.  They have helped me better understand health and how to treat MS.  I hope you will find them useful too.  They are all available on www.Amazon.com, but if you have trouble getting any of them, let me know and I’ll try to help.  Also, check if your public library carries any, and avoid costs.

  1. The China Study.  By T. Colin Campbell, PhD and Thomas M. Campbell II.  This has some heavy-duty material.  Read what you can, especially on MS and cancer [most interesting], plus the Preface, Forward, and Introduction.   *An absolute must read!!!

  2. Eat To Live.  By Joel Fuhrman, M.D.  Aimed at those wanting to lose weight.  But he also helps anyone understand, clearly and simply, how our food choices can help us recover from illness and have vibrant health.  *An absolute must read!!!

  3. 8 Secrets of Healthy 100.  What You Can Learn From The All-Stars of Longevity.  By Des Cummings Jr., PhD with Monica Reed, MD and Todd Chobotar.  Great health information.

  4. Forgive To Live.  How Forgiveness Can Save Your Life.  Dr. Dick Tibbits with Steve Halliday.  A must read!!!

  5. Forks Over Knives: The Plant-Based Way to HealthBy Gene Stone, T. Colin Campbell and Caldwell B. Esselstyn.  *You must get this book! 

  6. The Full Plate Diet: Slim Down, Look Great, Be Healthy!  By Stuart A. Seale, M.D.; Teresa Sherard, M.D. and Diana Fleming, Ph.D., LDN.  (Jan 4, 2010).  Helps readers understand fiber and the fiber content in certain foods.  Very good book!

  7. Health Power.  Health By Choice Not By Chance.  By Aileen Ludington, MD and Hans Diehl, DrHSC., MPH.  Excellent material on why we are getting sick and how we can improve our health.    *An absolute must read!!!

  8. The Ministry of Healing [paperback].  By E.G. White.  You will be amazed at how long ago this book was written.  Yet, its health material is so totally up to date, and some areas are even advanced.

  9. Natural Lifestyle CookingBy Ernestine Finley.  Delicious and simple vegan recipes [no eggs, dairy, or meat].  It will give ideas to those wanting to eat healthier, but not sacrifice taste or enjoyment.

  10. Proof Positive:  How to Reliably Combat Disease and Achieve Optimal Health through Nutrition and Lifestyle.  By Neil Nedley, M.D.  Edited by David DeRose, M.D.   *Excellent health material.  Costly, but worth it.

  11. Ride With the WindBy Charlotte Hamlin.  At age 68 she set off riding her bike across America, then continued around the world.  This is a real ‘page turner’.  The author shares her adventure while teaching readers about health.  She was my favorite professor in Nursing School, plus my role model, mentor, and dear friend.    *An absolute must read!!!

  12. Soul Surfer.  By Bethany Hamilton.  A true, inspiring, and wonderful story.   

  13. The Ultimate Prescription.  What the Medical Profession Isn’t Telling You. By Dr. James L. Marcum, MD with Charles Mills.  Great health information.     *An absolute must read!!!
